The Sonali Bag, also known as the Golden Bag, is a cellulose-based biodegradable bioplastic that can be used in place of plastic bags. Sonali Bags’ cellulose is derived from jute, a major fiber crop found all over the world. Bangladeshi scientists have found a method for converting Jute fiber into Sonali, a low-cost biodegradable cellulose sheet that may be used as wrapping material and carrying bags. The bag is not just plastic-like in appearance and feel, but it is also compostable and biodegradable. Sonali’s environmentally friendly jute poly bags can be used in clothes and food packaging and are not hazardous to human health.

Invention:

Mubarak Ahmad Khan created a jute cellulose-based biodegradable and environmentally friendly bag that has the potential to replace plastic bags. The scientist dubs it “Sonali Bag.” Jute is known in the region as “golden fiber” since Sonali means “golden” in Bengali. Mr. Khan has established product attributes that are unique to Jute polymers, which is why Jute bags are so popular. Some of these qualities are as follows:

Sonali bags are single-use and disposable, so there’s no need to be concerned. This restores the convenience of plastic bags while avoiding the environmental disaster that comes with them. The convenience and low cost of plastic bags are the primary reasons for their widespread use. Jute can be reasonably priced while also providing a socially acceptable level of disability.

Renewable Supply:

Jute may be harvested on a regular basis to preserve supply and price stability because it is a fast-propagating plant. Bangladesh should take the following steps: Sonali represents a real-life scientific breakthrough. According to the California company’s regulatory tests, the Sonali bag meets the majority of the regulatory requirements. The market is not only prepared but also on fire. Every day, new developments and tales emerge in the press, confirming that the time has come. There are businesses and individuals who are enthusiastic about the product and will help it succeed.
